Attention Debit & ATM Cardholders

 

In an effort to better serve our membership and in response to a recent network change, MidWest America Federal Credit Union will be integrating our ATM and debit card programs. We are eliminating the traditional ATM card and will be providing all of our present ATM cardholders with the VISA® debit card. Also, those who currently have a MidWest America debit card will be reissued a new card with a new design. Your new VISA® debit card can be used in the same manner you have always used your present card.  You will be able to access your funds in the following manner: 

 

  • Withdraw funds at an ATM from savings or checking (if applicable)
  • Transfer money at an ATM between checking and savings (if applicable)
  • Access your funds at any ATM displaying the VISA® logo

 

And, those who currently use a debit card in conjunction with their checking account will still be able to:

 

  • Use the card worldwide at any merchant that accepts VISA®
  • Feel secure with VISA®’s  Zero Liability Protection

 

We will be mailing the new VISA® debit cards beginning May 17, 2012.  Your VISA® debit card PIN will follow your new card receipt in approximately 2-3 days.

 

On June 15, 2012, we will be deactivating all ATM and old debit cards on our system. You will need to utilize your new VISA® debit card at this time, or sooner, if you prefer.

 

IMPORTANT:  If you have any preauthorized transaction(s) associated with your present VISA® debit card number, you must contact the merchant/company and provide your new card number and expiration date for future transactions to post without interruption.
