Don't Let Your Tax Exemption Fall Off!

Beginning in 2013, individuals and married couples may lose their homestead deduction if they do not complete the homestead verification form. In 2010, HEA 1344-2009 was passed and requires that taxpayers verify their residency and eligibility for the homestead deduction. To verify, apply, or re-apply for these deductions in Allen County, call the Auditor 's Office at (260) 449-7241 or visit their website at: www.allencounty.us/property-tax-division/homestead-info. For all other Indiana counties, check with your local auditor's office.
