International Credit Union in 2020

2020 has been a year unlike any other for most of us. It’s been a year where steady industries have stopped altogether, where millions have lost jobs and/or wages and where people have lost loved ones to a disease that has made the whole world stop and take notice. In 2020, we’ve had to change the way we serve you. Our members have made more trips through the drive-thru, made many additional calls to the call center, and accessed digital banking services more than ever before. The constant for us throughout this year has been you, our members, and this is why we are taking the time to give back. International Credit Union Day is our way to celebrate our reason for being, our members.
We will be celebrating with another group volunteer activity and this time our staff will be at Community Harvest for SeniorPak day on Wednesday, 10/14. We will be passing out food to the seniors in the Fort Wayne area. This will be our 4th large group volunteer activity of 2020, in addition to the employees who volunteer individually on behalf of the Credit Union.
We have also decided to treat our members in-office or in the drive-thru to a sweet candy treat on Thursday, 10/15 at all of our branches. Please stop by and let us Thank You for being a member.
We, as a not-for-profit financial institution, believe in the power of giving back. In addition to volunteerism in our communities and our commitment to giving back the proceeds from our Affinity Cards to schools and non-profits, this year, our efforts have included COVID-19 Assistance Programs such as Personal Relief Loans, Refinance Options, and No Fee Relief Skip-A-Payments. Credit unions also return profits to their members by providing lower fee services and more loan opportunities than big bank competitors. We wouldn’t be where we are today without you and are grateful for the continued opportunity to serve you.
